Title Sequence Analysis

Pulp Fiction

This title sequence begins after a short amount of the film. The film suddenly freezes and it begins to show the institutions that made the film. It uses the same font for all of them with a yellow on black colour scheme. It also shows the logo of the company. After going through several institutions that title of the film 'Pulp Fiction' rises from the bottom of the screen in a stylised font, keeping the colours consistent with the previous text used for the institutions. The frame begins to zoom out on the title and the the main cast is shown over the top of it one by one in white text. We are then shown a 'co-starring' section where there is a series of actors in scrolling text. This continues for a while until the film starts.

Batman (1989)

The title sequence for this film begins by mentioning the institutions and main actors in yellow text over close up footage of a stone version of the batman logo. The title 'Batman' is then shown in the same font which is used for the institutions and main actors. The sequence then goes on to mention severable notable names from the film and people who had a major role in the movie. The sequence ends after it mentions that it is a 'Tim Burton Production', and the film begins.

Spider-Man 2

The Spider-Man 2 opening sequence begins by mentioning the production company for the film, the camera then zooms out through several animated spider webs and presents the title in metallic 3D text over the web. The rest of the title sequence is in the form of a moving comic book, it shows pictures/drawings of the actors and says their names in different frames of it. The sequence shows us all of the main actors and people who had a major role in the film through this. The sequence ends with a full frame picture of Toby Maguire as Spider-Man.
